Minutes of the CIF Floor Meeting
Thursday November 6, 2008
Next Saturday there will be a Smash Bros Brawl tournament co-sponsored with Computer Science Undergraduate Council.
Time: 2pm
Place: CSB 601
Questions: Talk to Robbie.
CIFgiving: reminder it is November 23rd, if you want to help talk to board.
Elections: Nominations are closed, voting takes place in two weeks on November 20th.
The people running are:
Chair: Dan, Isaac
Membership Director: Craig, Isaac
Community Relations Director: Sara, Andy & Ashley, Kaleigh
Technology Director: Isaac, Bryan
Secretary-Treasurer: Jay, Sara
Voting will be done in this order as well.

Minutes of the CIF Board Meeting
Saturday October 25, 2008
We have the mid-year review for the E4E coming up. Work on filling out the forms and making the presentation is ongoing.
Game Night: advertising needs to be better
Halloween Party: advertising needs to happen through out the week.
$25 has been authorized to purchase some decorations- oriental trading co. is an option
Cifgiving will be on the 23rd of November
Co-event with CSUG: smash tournament around 3 weeks from now- more planning is needed.
Those who need to be brought up for probation due to attendance will be contacted.

The nomination period for board positions is now open. For someone to be nominated, the nomination must be seconded, the person must agree and an email to board with that information needs to be sent.
Nominations thus far:
Chair: Dan, Linda
Tech Director: Bryan, Issac
Sec-Tres: Jay
Comm-Rel: Ashley, Sara
Membership: Craig
Nomination period is 2 weeks.
There is a Halloween event being run by Sigma Beta Rho on October 31: If you would like to participate by giving candy to children talk to Gabe.
Current volunteers are: Stacey, Jay, Bryan, Robbie, Dennis, Sara, Kaleigh
We are having a Halloween party on Nov 1st. If you have suggestions of activities/want to help talk to Sara.
CIFgiving: if you are interested in planning, talk to Sara.

Free for alumni
This will help pay for the Dino BBQ food that will be present
Authorized Board to spend up to $450 for food, we do not expect that much to be needed.
Lab: is all set to be used for office hours
talk to Bryan about figuring out a schedule
CIF stuff: There is now a cif store on cafe press, we will be doing a bulk order in the near future.
