Update: The CIF Lab has reopened and all services should be back to normal. Conficker was active on the lab machines and attempting to spread via network and removable drives. We have cleaned the lab and it is now virus free with better virus scanning now in place. We are still attempting to determine how the infection got on the network in the first place. If you put a USB drive in any of the lab machines since Tuesday (9/8/2009), that drive might now be infected. (It is possible that the infection started before that, but we aren't sure at the present time.) The CIF Lab is temporarily closed for maintenance. At this time, we do not know when the lab will reopen.
