Update 3:24 PM EDT 2/19/2009: Everything should now be working again. Please report any issues to Bryan and Isaac. If you set up your computer to use a static IP address, please set your machine back to using a dynamic (DHCP) address. |

During yesterday's power outage, CIF servers went down when the uninterrupted power supplies in the lab ran out of power. Unfortunately, when power came back on, some of the computers didn't turn back on automatically, and had to be manually turned on this morning. As of right now (14:25 EDT 2/19/2009) all hardware is back on. However, some services are still being restored. Services still unavailable include: - Pentagontable
- Infra2
- Outgoing Email (including email lists)
- DHCP (Automatic configuration of machines upon connection to the network)
- Radius (CIF Wireless authentication)
- Backup DNS
- CIF Account modification (Control Panel)
Incoming emails (including those for the mailing lists) are being held by the backup mail server until Infra comes back online. The CIF lab staff appologize for the downtime, and will be working to restore those services as soon as possible. |
